For Those Auditioning for a LEAD Role

Upon confirmation of your audition appointment, we will email the web address(es) where you can download the music for the role(s) for which you are auditioning. Please prepare this material for your audition. An accompanist will be provided and the words and music do not need to be memorized. If you have received more than one piece of music for a character and you intend to audition for that role, you should prepare all the music provided. However, if you decide not to audition for more than one role, you may omit the other pieces of music and only prepare the material for your chosen role. Although no monologue is required, you may be asked to do a cold reading from Patience during your audition.
You may provide a resume and/or headshot, but neither is required.

Full cast rehearsals will begin Friday, March 5, 2010.

Returning adult CHORUS members

If you performed in Princess Ida in 2009 or in H.M.S. Pinafore in 2008, you MUST contact Catherine Montrose before 12:00pm, Thursday, February 25, 2010 to confirm your participation. If you do not reserve your spot in the chorus prior to February 25, 2010, you will be placed on a waiting list pending the audition results. Anyone who arrives unreserved at the first chorus rehearsal on March 5, 2010 will also be placed on a waiting list. The Board of Directors will be very strict about the deadline so PLEASE RESERVE IN ADVANCE.
The use of children in this year's chorus is at the discretion of the stage directors.

Interested chorus members who did not sing in last season's production of Princess Ida are encouraged to audition with the understanding that they too will be placed on a waiting list; no chorus place is guaranteed for anyone who did not perform in Princess Ida. Final chorus will be determined based first on the returning chorus and then from the waiting list on a space-available basis.

Full cast and chorus rehearsals begin March 5, 2010 and will be held Friday evenings at 7:00pm-10:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 1:00pm-4:00pm until run-through rehearsals begin in early May. Some rehearsal times and places may be announced later; for now, rehearsals will be at Washington Park United Methodist Church.
The March 5, 2010 rehearsal is extremely important as we finalize the cast and chorus.
Returning chorus members should plan to come a bit early to get their scores and to be prepared to begin at 7:00pm promptly.

All cast members, in addition to their participation in ALL rehearsals and performances, are required to help with tickets sales, set construction, costumes, and other necessary backstage activities. We are a volunteer organization and rely on our cast members to provide all aspects of the production.

Performances of Patience are scheduled for

and June 6 and 13, 2010 at 2:00pm,
at the Shwayder Theatre,
